How do you like your music? No, I don’t mean Metallica vs Yanni. Yikes! I even scared myself with that one! No, what I mean is how do you like it recorded, what format? Are you a CD-type, like much of the country? Do you like it digital, MP3/WMA/etc, like a growing number of people? You can see them plugged into their Ipods and other MP3 players. Or maybe you love the warm sound and nice packaging of vinyl records, even if they might have a few clicks and pops? Or are you just plain crazy and refuse to listen to anything but your old 8-track tapes? Or maybe even those dusty cassette tapes in that box up in your spare room closet?
If you have an opinion (and I’ve heard that everyone has one), then you can head over here to Obsessed With Music and take the poll for your favorite music format. After you vote, it won’t let you vote again but here’s a trick just for you lucky stevenology readers: just wait a day or two and then you can vote again! So make your voice heard, or at least your mouse clicking. Do your patriotic duty and vote a bunch of times!
Leave me a comment below or else I’ll surely go mad.

Quite frankly, I don’t notice a tremendous difference in the sound of a CD versus mp3 or vinyl. However, as you said, it is easier to damage vinyl (ergo, the pops and clicks). I like having a “hard copy” as a backup to anything I have on the computer. Plus, I need the lyrics, the credits, the artwork, etc, which you don’t get from a downloaded song. So my final answer is CD (although I do miss the size of the artwork and print with a vinyl LP).
