As many of you know, I work for the State of California as a Senior Programmer Analyst. I do Internet web development, among other things.

I started out as a file clerk and, like most dead bodies, somehow made my way up to the top of the water. Well, not the top exactly, but not too bad. It pays most of the bills and some people at work even respect me! Well, as far as I know anyway.

I have to give some credit to the people I work for. They let me telework one day a week and are flexible and try to be understanding. I also got a nice, large cubicle with two great views, north and east, from the 11th floor. That's what you can get when you work 1000 years for the same company!
