We went to Ace Of Spades in Sacramento for this most excellent show. Andrew has been writing and performing great songs for many years, with Jack’s Mannequin, Something Corporate, and more recently on his own as Andrew McMahon In The Wilderness. This show was a warm visit to his “living room” as his guests came by to perform with him: Allen Stone, Bob Oxblood, and Zac Clark. Andrew’s songs are so well-written and the lyrics are so clever and meaningful. Some of the songs got a stripped down treatment and some got a different arrangement, and then some just flat-out rocked. It was one of the best shows I’ve seen in quite a while.
